Navigation Screen Question

Is there any risk of burn-in on the factory navi screen?
I ask because I always set it to the Jaguar logo screen while driving and rarely look at it otherwise. I believe that CRT and Plasma type displays are prone to burn in but LCD's are not. What technology does our navi screen employ?

Hello,
My car is a XJ8 form February 2004 (X350).
I have a ridiculous problem with navigation. If I have entered an adress and change my mind while driving, the navi trys to direct me to the original adress. The only solution seems to be to turn the soundspeaker off but at the scale on the speedometer I see always the (wrong) orders of the navi. How can I turn off the navi without stopping and entering a new adress?
Second question: My navigation disc (Europe, Jaguar part No. 1x43 10E898; DENSO part No. 464210-5230) is from 2003. Where can I get an actualisation? Is it right, that I can also use a FORD navigation disc instead?
With Kind Regards
Tom
