Default Navigation screen scrolling! Any fixes? Please help!

I have been trying to fix this problem for over a year now and since it is winter again, the scrolling of my navigation screen has gotten worse! I have read every thread possible about this, but couldn't find anyone with a solution.

My navigation screen scrolls when it is cold or the car is sitting for a long period. It seems to clear up after it warms up. Has anyone found a solution to this problem. I read somewhere that it could be a bad sync wire? I want to tackle this problem this week.

Who has had this problem and fixed it? Please help. My car is a 2004 xjr.

Yes, I had the same problem. Another member mentioned that they thought it might be a loose wire, I checked all the connections and it still did it. I ended up buying a used NAV screen off ebay and after the install it worked great. Not too bad of a job to do the install.

So with a new head unit the scrolling completely stopped?
