New Jag X350 VDP Owner
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. I've always wanted a Jag X350 or X358 but always ended up chickening out and leasing a new BMW 5 Series. Borrrrring, especially here in LA where you see 200 of em a day. I thought my love for the Jag would fade but every time I saw one I was more enamored with it. So I said to myself, if I find the right car locally I'm going to grab it and put my BMW on Swap-A-Lease. Found this pristine 2004 VDP in Orange County. 41k miles, local car, always serviced at the Jag dealer and no accidents per the Carfax. The previous owner didn't even put a front plate on it, gotta love that. Got a PPI, it checked out and so I bought it. I am really loving it, drives like a dream, but just like most used cars more than a few years old there is going to be some sorting to do. In the 4 1/2 months I've had it I've had to replace the coolant tank/thermostat, A/C control module, wiper relay, front bushings and 3rd brake light. I'm hoping that's it for a while! Ian from Mitchell's British Automotive here in LA said its the cleanest X350 he's seen in his shop so I know I got a great car. I made sure to get a premium AAA membership just in case The response from passengers has been awesome. They can't believe how much car it is for the money. Happy to be a part of the Jag family and look forward to learning more about these fine automobiles from everybody. Happy Holidays!

Lovely car !
It's a 2004, so now, despite the low mileage, it's 13 years old, and it is inevitable you'll have a few jobs to do, as it is early production and a few things needed sorting out quite early on.
One I found out about two days ago relates to the air compressor. I was in my local indie and we were talking about my experiences with my 2003, now replaced by a 2007. I bought at 30k miles, and had a compressor go at around 35k miles, yet the replacement was still on the car and OK when I part-exed it last October at 115k miles. I was told that the early compressors were not satisfactory and Wabco made improvements. For most early owners these were replaced under warranty, but many low miles owners never go up to the failing mileage, so the poor old second and third owners had to cough-up. Replacements are about £300 here in the UK.
That's my 2003 in the small picture in front of my MG Midget. Dignity and Impudence
