For $40-50k you can buy the following newer X351 XJ's --
2012 XJ Supercharged
2012 XJ L Portfolio
2011 XJ L Supercharged
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and the modern XJ look has grown on me more and more. However, I think the X350/358 may be a more reliable daily driver. Tough choice. I plan to hold on to my trusty XJ8L for a few more years then get an XK Coupe.

My Celestial Black 2009 Portfolio now has 26K on it (4/15) and is a pleasure to drive. I have decided that it really should be mothballed during the winter here in hilly, potholed Pittsburgh: they don't quite keep up with plowing the snow, and that LWB rear-wheel thing means that I find myself handling a boat and having close encounters of the auto kind (or losing those delicate 20" tires in the potholes)! Wolfy, I know that you can get one of the 'newer' XJs for the kind of money we paid for these 2009s, but they're the last of a breed and (to me) there's simply no comparison.

When I bought the car these where brand new on the car the previous owner hit a pot hole and damaged a rim , the local council said they would pay for a new wheel but unfortunately they no longer make the original wheels. So the council paid for one the owner paid for one and jaguar paid for two and these are the wheels what he choose . I did ask him when I bought it and he said they are off the newer XF model .

That's an XJR Portfolio, not the same car as the X358 LWB Portfolios but rare nevertheless.
It's a shame it's lost it's original wheels.
I reckon you could trade them for a set of non-polished Calisto wheels as a straight swap. It would not be exactly original, but close enough for most people.

Yes Cambo you are right this is the x350 swb portfolio took awhile to find one not sure I like the look of the x358 front end ( personal choice) I have been looking for a set of original wheels since I've had the car but none have come up . Then I think if I damage one where do I get a replacement the wheels I have on there now I can get off eBay for £250 new but I do love the look of the Castillo wheel but not yet seen a set for sale .

I was recently looking for a spare Callisto in case I would damage one of mines.
Very difficult to source indeed.
My dealer told me I could buy one at Jaguar in UK. But the price quoted was sky high: close to EUR 1000 including VAT and shipment! And from what I remember there were only a very few (about ten) only remaining at the factory...
I also found this offer on ebay (apparently unsold):
Jaguar 20 Inch Calisto Alloys Wheels Mint XJR X350 XJ8 With Good Tyres | eBay
A good deal IMHO if you are looking for a full set.
The seller did not reply to my offer for a cheaper price.
dunno if they are still available...

I often see Calisto wheels for sale on ebay.uk, but the silver-painted ones, never the polished.
You could try contacting Steve at www.sbwheels.co.uk he would be the most likely to have some.
Or just keep an eye on ebay.uk but you will find they often are not listed by name, I saw many that were called the wrong name or just "jaguar alloy wheels"
