New owner, again! Question about air ride error
Hi everyone! I am very happy to be back in the Jag family. I previously owned an X308 and a 2005 X350 VP. I loved that 2005!. A week ago I purchased a very nice 2008 X358 VP at an dealer auction. I am going to be bringing her back to her former glory. Mechanically she is great. I am having one issue with the Air ride system that I can't seem to pinpoint. I do have lots of experience with the air ride system as I went through this with my 2005 also. I recently installed a new compressor and that resolved the Plausibility issues. The last issue I can't seem to figure out is that when I monitor the air system while driving on my I930 I am getting a Damper firm error= yes on my reader. And yes the shocks are super firm! I notice when I put the car back into the park the damper firm error changes to no. Back to drive and goes back to yes. I am not sure what is telling the CATS to go into firm mode. I get no DTC's in the system. I do have a check engine light on for a secondary air injection error but I ordered a new map sensor for that as the old one does not change state. Any ideas on this one?
