Default New struts. New fault warning

I recently purchased an 05 XJ8L with 84k and an air suspension fault warning. I replaced the piston ring on the compressor and no luck. I leak tested the system and found leaks on the compressor and front strut. I bought gently used Arnott front struts and a new compressor. After installing the struts I received a new fault warning. The CATS system fault warning. I checked the connections on top of the struts and all looked fine. I've tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours no luck, I've tried grounding the positive to reset the ASM no luck. I tried unhooking the connectors on top of the strut and starting the car, shutting it off and replacing the the connectors and restarting the car- this worked until I shut the car off and started again. I do have codes. C2303, C2303, these i believe are related to the compressor which I'm replacing this week. Codes B2810, C1800, C2779, C1993, C1419, C1424. I've read forum after forum and I know air suspension posts have been beat to death but any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

If you disconnected any of the CATS sensors on top of the struts (which I'm sure you did) with the battery installed, even with the ignition off you set codes in the CATS computer.

You need Jaguar level software to clear these chassis (C) codes.

Next time before servicing any system fully disconnect the battery to ensure no codes save to the associated sub systems when disconnecting sensors, etc.

At some point after 2003, the strut was changed by Bilstein, OR the CATS software was changed, so that the "spoofing" done in the Arnott shock to mimic the CATS for the shock settings no longer worked, and Arnott had to do something else. What that was I don't know. In addition, the Arnott struts don't have any switching between Hard and Soft. It is possible to replace the air spring assembly arpound the shock, and Arnott used to do this, but no longer do so. There is a supplier of the air spring component, and others that will replace it on your shock or sell one on a service exchange basis

It sounds like you have the 'normal' solenoid for the CATS system.

They are little coils which run at 5volts and can alter the characteristic of the shock.

Remove plug with two wires and check pins for open circuit or short to ground.
