Default NEW XJ8 L owner:)))

I finally pulled the trigger on a x350, test drove a few and finally found the one I wanted. 2007 $18,999 with 37k miles. Slate grey with xjr rims and mesh grill. I'll post pictures.

But the real reason I'm posting is because after driving it home and showing my friends, I noticed a tiny tiny squeaky noise that's coming from the front in on idle to around 10 mph speeds. The car does need a alignment but I believe it has nothing to do with it. Car fax shows that control arm bushings were replaced. Other than alignment and squeak, I absolutely love the car, I'm first time purchaser and I still have my 96 Vanden plas, I love the elegant and class jaguar has to offer!!!!

37k miles

Congratulations on the new car, it looks really good !

A slight squeaking at idle-10mph could be a flexible belt not up to tension. The alternator puts a load on the system and this can cause the drive belt to slip slightly. It's normally worse just after a cold start when the system is recharging the battery.

Congrats for your beautiful acquisition.

My "R"-trimmed XJ8L also made the same squeaky noise when I first drove it home from San Diego. It was the worn drive belt, but it had a much higher mileage (95k)

Cheers,
Wolfy
