No air blowing 2004 XJR
Very frustrating post, considering in the last week I converted my suspension and had to purchase new tires...
Anyways, I am in the car yesterday, the air works for about 10 seconds then stops blowing anything, warm or cold. When I press "auto", nothing blows out either. I looked a little online, is this typically the blower control modulator? Not what I want to happen now that it's 115 degrees...

Hi suiteddeuces,
The most common cause of your symptoms is an opened thermal cutoff (TCO) or failed MOSFET in the Blower Control Module (BCM). The problem is that the original heat sink was underengineered and does not sufficiently cool the electronic components in hot weather. Jaguar's response was to issue a new, revised BCM with longer fins on the heatsink. If you're handy, you can rebuild the BCM with a new heat sink, MOSFET and TCO for $20 to $30, or you can purchase a new revised BCM for around $200. The thread at the link below details how I rebuilt our BCM:

Replacing the BCM is not difficult if you do your homework on removing the glovebox (no need to disconnect the electrical connectors, just rest the glovebox on the floor while you work) and have a short Phillips screwdriver or Phillips bit for a 1/4" ratchet to remove the two screws that hold the BCM on the top of the air ducting above the blower fan.
Cheers,
Don

Thanks for the link. It definitely helps and sounds like more than likely it's that module/resistor/relay. The only thing I'm wondering if the fact that my fan comes on for about 5-10 seconds after the car is off overnight means anything.
I saw the part on eBay for $200 and looks like it's only about an hour job at most. I see parts geek sells this: http://www.partsgeek.com/25ybwxk-jaguar-xj8-blower-motor-resistor.html?utm_source=shoppingcom&utm_medium=pf &utm_content=dc&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+ShoppingCom &fp=pp&utm_term=Jaguar+Blower+Motor+Resistor and wondering if it is the same as the c2c39577 part. Any advice is appreciated thanks!
