I have a 2007 XJR. I have a question about audio.
There is no sound coming from the four mid-bass speakers in the front and back doors. The tweeters, the speakers on the dashboard, and the woofers are producing sound.
Does anyone know the cause?
These are Alpine speakers in a vehicle with an power amplifier. It also has a navigation system.

 

This is a known failure point: the connectors inside the speakers (at the edge) corrode. There's some threads on the forum on how to fix this, it doesn't take too much time, just involves soldering in jumper wires across the points that have corrected. If you search you'll find the 'how to' threads with posts. I fixed 3 of 4 speakers this way, and only the 4th was blown out and needed to be replaced.
