Noisy vibrations at 1100 RPM
Hi,
I just bought a used X350 2.7D Build 2005 MY2006.
At, and only at, 1100 RPM there is a strong noisy vibration.
My Jag-Dealer, where I bought the car, told me that is normal, because it's a diesel engine.
Can someone verify that it's really normal?
Or does anybody no this problem and can give me a hint what the reason of it might be?
I already got the advice to regenerate the DPF and after 60 minutes at 3000 RPM it is a little better, but still there.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
A mate of mine has a 2007 X350 2.7D, and for sure there is no such vibration at 1100rpm.
Can you check if it's the same in other gears / same revs?

There are a few diesel owners on the forum, i'm sure someone has more experience with this.

Furl line vibration
I too have a loud buzzing at idle. It is front passenger side. Tonight I did some prodding. I grabbed the fuel lines that go down the bulkhead from the fuel filter & moved the about. The noise stopped. I guess they are vibrating against the bulkhead, i am sure it will return but I will dig deeper once the weather improves.
