Default OBD2 Port no power

The amber engine light is up on the dash and I checked the water as the pump is leaking and found it below the low level mark. I topped it up but the light is still on. I got out my trusty OBD2 tool and no power so I tried a mates one and still no power. Is there a fuse for this? If not anyone no what the problem is?

Yes there is a fuse for the OBD port, fuse locations are listed in your owners manual.

Fuse #16 in the cabin fuse box (the one down by the accelerator pedal)

It's a 5A fuse.

Back to the drawing board. Fuse is OK but just to make sure I replaced it F15 but no power.

I meant to say I replaced it with fuse No15 not a 15A fuse

Hahaha

If you are brave you could try to measure for voltage at the connector

16 battery power
4 ground

Its not being brave Cambo its being the contortionist that hurts. So after shoving a torch down my throat and trying to read the multimeter whilst holding the probes was something else and the answer to whether there was power on pin 16 & 4 NO. However, went back to the computer with claret running out my of head and arm, haven't a clue how I did that, I saw check F43 and low and behold 5A fuse blown. Replaced and one OBD2 port working. Once I have stanched the flow of blood i will see what codes are up. Many thanks Cambo

Which one is F43?

I have a dead OBD2 port. I was able to check the 5A fuse at Position #16 on the drivers side...where is Position #43?

Thanks.
