Does the number of off-lease luxury cars that come onto the market follow any sort of regular pattern over the course of a year? That is, do more off-lease vehicles become available in the first six months of the year than the last six months? Are there some months that typically see a lot of off-leases coming onto the market? Or, do they tend to arrive in a more or less steady flow over the course of the year? I'm wondering if there is a best time of year to be looking for a good selection and price.

Right now esp on XJs prices tend to be a little higher, before the new year there was considerably better selection so prices were lower.

S-type prices at least 05s and up and the pre 05 Rs are holding very steady if not climbing some.

There has been less supply entering the market place in terms of XJs and most desirable S types are just entering the 2nd owner phase (evidence by the influx of new owners here) and are becoming thin.

In the next few months the first initial off-lease 07s is going to hit the market and additional 06s. there are tons of GREAT deals on 04s out there, and some on 05s.

I've seen a bunch of standard 06 XJs around ranging from 24k all the way up to 35k, all very low miles.
