oil in the trunk/boot.

oil in the trunk/boot.
Hi, I have a bit of a quandry to deal with. I moved my car today ('05 4.2 xj lwb) and noticed a rainbow on the wet drive. on further inspection the oil which caused the rainbow was leaking out of the left hand side boot/trunk drain tube. After removing everything from the boot I could see oil pooling in the channel directly under the air suspension tank. My question is could this oil have come from said tank or is there anything else in the boot which may leak? there are no fault codes on the display. Any help appreciated. Rod.

Are you sure there isn't a little bottle of oil down there that is leaking ? Jaguar dealers normally give out a 1/2 litre bottle of oil plus a pair of rubber gloves and a folding paper funnel at each oil service. It's contained in a small bag. Mine has Castrol Professional on the outside.
There is no oil used in the air suspension, and there are no oil lines there either. If the oil was coming from the air reservoir tank, it would not be holding air pressure, and you'd have a fault message.
