P0193 code, 2004 VDP
Hi,
I have a 2004 VDP with 145K. It runs very smooths, but recently the code P0193 is being triggered whenever I push the car a little, mainly when going up hill at 55mph or faster. Before the code is triggered, I usually feel a hiccup or a split second hesitation. The engine light came on twice out of the 10 or so times the code was triggered so far. I've been using an ODBII scanner to read the reset the code.
I've read that the P0193 means a problem with the IP sensor circuit, but I can't find what an IP sensor means to find it location. I've also read that the code refers to the fuel rail pressure sensor. Are these two the same? Which one is correct?
Can someone point me in the right direction and possibly provide a picture with the location of the sensor? What are the troubleshooting steps that I should go through to resolve this issue?
Thanks.

Possible fuel rail pressure sensor fault.
A very good explanation and diagnostic procedure here:
https://www.obd-codes.com/p0193
Located on fuel rail and will look like this:

The P0193 code issue was resolved by replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor. The original part was Ford brand, but I replaced it with a NAPA Auto brand. It was ~ $100 with tax, almost half what Ford or Jaguar were selling it for.
It has been over a week and over 300 miles and I still have the P1000 code. With this code, I am not able to renew the car registration, because I was told it will not pass the smog test while the test sequence is still pending.
I figured by now, the test sequence would have completed, but it looks like the CEM monitor is still pending. The driving sequence for this is "Drive vehicle steadily between 1700 – 2500 rpm for 5 minutes." I am positive I've done this sequence in the 300 or so miles that I have driven so far. Any thoughts on how else to get this monitor to clear?
Thanks.
