P0730 fault code

P0730 fault code
Just after discussing which cars to keep and which to sell and me claiming the XJR has been mostly trouble free. The one exception was the alternator.
I had the wife in the car yesterday evening when I tried accelerating to merge into moderate traffic and suddenly the car judders badly and throws a restricted performance warning.
I was able to drive "normally" even up to 70 mph. DSC was off and S was on. I switched DSC back on and S off.
The other day I did some very spirited driving with no hint of a problem.
The code: "Code P0730 means that the Powertrain Computer or PCM is seeing greater than a specified RPM difference between the rotational speed of the Input RPM Sensor and the Transmission Output RPM Sensor. This can occur during shifting or when driving at steady speeds in the same gear:.
It only happened under moderately hard acceleration and does not happen, so far, when driving normally.
Reading thru this forum I see several possibilities mentioned:
A low transmission fluid.
B faulty wheel speed sensors.
C a bad PCM
I can check the trans fluid level but one suggestion is to reflash the PCM which I will do if nothing else works.
Am I missing anything?
My wife wants me to sell the Jag because she believes it is unreliable. She views me working on upgrades as working on faults!

This is a quote from Brutal in 20011:
"That is a incorrect gear ratio code for which we used to put trannies in for since its a mechanical gear fault. Jaguar now recommends clearing out trans adaptations and reflashing with latest software. Evidently it can become a learned condiotn in many cases and trans not needed. Go t o a dealer or see bob gauff who i believe has a ids outside dallas( i dont know where mckinney is) get adaptations cleared and reflash the trans ecu with the latest software upgrades. That is wayyyy cheaper than a trans. Its 1 hr charge at a dealer".
I am wondering if I damaged something the other day when doing a kick down stationary start ?
