Default P2097 & P2099 Engine Codes

I was getting engine codes stating I had Faulty O2 sensors P0420 and P0430. Changed all 4 O2 Sensors at once.

Now I get P2097 and P2099 codes without any other companion codes. At this point the car has a slight driveability issue as it surges upon take off from a stop light and when in park at an idle the RPM surges up and down about 50 to 75 RPM.

I have an ELM 327 that will give me all the engine data live time what indicators should I be looking for?

I have in the past six months rebuilt the intake with all new gaskets, replaced all spark plugs.

By what I understand that it cannot adjust to add enough air to compensate for the incoming fuel to the system; bad fuel regulator possibly or bad fuel pump?

Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Joe Walma

They are related to the old codes I bet. https://www.obd-codes.com/p2097 and https://www.obd-codes.com/p2099 - fuel trim codes.

I'd start by monitoring fuel trims using that scan tool.

Superb explaination here:

https://www.obd-codes.com/p2097

I believe 02 sensors age with time and new sensors are

very sensitive.

It can take quite a long time and many miles for them

to settle down.
