Default Park brake fault

My 2004 XJR has Brembo brakes for stopping and electronic parking brake for aggravating.
Recently "park brake fault" appeared on the dash message display when the park brake failed to disengage. I found the fuse in the floor of the trunk (boot) and replaced it. It disengaged and worked fine - ONCE. The next time I put the car in gear, it blew the fuse again - of course with the park brake engaged. So I replaced the fuse until the park brake disengaged and I immediately removed the fuse and I now have a disabled park brake (but at least it is drivable.)

Does anyone know what is causing this and what the proper fix might be?

Thanks,
Tom

Default RE: Park brake fault

I'm just speculating, but you might try the adjusting procedure for the parking brake, it sounds like it is overworking and getting too tight. Go to Alldata.com or similarfor the entire procedure.
