Default Parking Sensor Fault on startup plus headlight washer pump failure

Hi all,
So I've had an issue since purchasing my X350 XJR (which I knew about) that I'd like to solve. Basically each time I start up the car for the first time in a while the parking sensors go off whilst I'm either reversing out of the drive and then continually whilst I'm driving. It lasts about 20 seconds or so then goes and the sensors function as normal within that driving session when I'm parking up again. I think (from the pitch) that it's a front sensor malfunction I'm not sure. I would say this happens 8/10 times and on the 2/10 times it doesn't do it is because it's either really cold or hasn't rained in a while.....not sure!

Secondly one of the headlight screenwash pumps appears to be missing! Well perhaps more accurately it's the jet? I discovered this when using the screenwash it deployed the headlight ones and one of the jets sprayed the car in front! So I'm guessing the pump is still there, just need the nozzle/jet?

Any ideas?

Thanks

Dan

It might be a dodgy sensor they are usually the weak link in the chain.

Things you could do are:

Have a look at the parking module in the boot on the side of the spare

wheel well. Look for evidence of moisture and "exercise" the plug.

Scan for dtc's- I never had any but methinks some people have.

Have a look for dirt around each sensor or maybe rime in the mornings.

Cheers
