Unfortunately, I have an XJ6 X350 2003 with the premium ALPINE sound system inclusive of rear amp... today on the 30th August 2018
Parrot TECHNICAL have informed me that it is not possible to install it on this system. DEVASTATED!
This being the second advice received as the day before I received the same comments from COMPLEX SOLUTIONS that it is not possible on the premium sound systems with separate amp.
SO THERE YOU HAVE IT.

The basic issue is that the Parrot uses its own in-built amp which can only output to 4 channels - Left & Right/Front & Rear - so when you hook it up to the Alpine premium system it doesn't output to all the speakers. I can't remember exactly which ones it doesn't use but the end result is, whilst it works, the sound quality is poor.
I tried various things to get around this all to no avail but then I came across this...
Car DAB radio, convert car to DAB with this in-car dab radio
....which you can wire into the Alpine system via the radio aerial socket. As well as providing DAB radio, there is an option for an Aux-in connection....and as the Parrot has a line-out connection you can then connect the Parrot to the DAB unit which in turn connects to the Alpine system. This bypasses the Parrot's own amp and means that the Parrot's output is now going via the Alpine amplifier - which means you get sound via all the speakers. And you get DAB as a bonus. Voila!
