passenger side head light assembly

I replaced the HID bulb. did not operate. then noted blown fuse. replaced fuse. blown again. I suspect , i need to replace ballast and maybe related connector. how do I remove the head light assembly? do i need to remove the bumper?aww

You do need to remove the bumper assembly to remove the head-lite assembly.
However are you sure you need to do that?
Most of the electrical "stuff" for the headlamps can be accessed from under the car by removing the front plastic shield. At least on my car that is possible and I think your car is similar.

Yes, to access the ballast you need to remove the headlight assembly and to do that you need to pull the front bumper away but not completely remove it.
