Default Passenger side rear view mirror

I bought a 2004 XJ6 RHD (ex Singapore) yesterday. Lovely car owned by an enthusiast with 13 cars, culling his fleet. Driving back on the motorway I noticed the passenger side rear view mirror is very small, and appears to be flat, not convex. An approaching SUV that saw my turn signal and sped up to not let me in almost got hit because I did not see him in the mirror - only the habit of looking over my shoulder spotted him. Is this normal? I found that and the interior rear view mirror gave me a lot less than I am used to with Mercedes and Honda.

Any idea where I can get a convex mirror to glue on?

My mirror glasses are not convex on my 2004 Super V8 and they were also flat on my previous X350,not sure if it was an option or specific to different countries, on all the x350 I have seen the mirrors are exactly the same size on both doors, maybe someone else can help ?

Blind spot on both sides of mine, have to watch, or look over my shoulder, to be sure the lane is open.

My 2008 X358 (ex Japan) has convex wing mirrors and same field-of-view both sides. I just specifically checked them with a set square after your post.
Just sayin', It's not my fault! Interesting though, maybe they changed.

I admit with all cars (well I only have Jaguar and Honda(s)), I still have to imitate a wrung chicken when changing lanes. But the dipping passenger-side (kerb-side) wing mirror in reverse, now that's classy. All the scuffs on my mags were the previous owner, Honest!
