Default Phone Volume

Is it just my car or is the phone volume really low on both ends even when turned up to 11? I was thinking of adding small headphones/microphone amplifiers to the phone components. The small AA powered kind, except I'll tap into a suitable power source. Has anyone done that?

I haven't had any complaints from others about my Mic volume when I've called them, but I have my volume turned all the way up, and it's OK. Wish it could go higher.

You can adjust the phone volume using the preferences option. My iPhone bluetooth calls are plenty loud. You can also use the volume controls on the steering wheel to suit your tastes.

Yeah mine is cranked all the way on both the car and my phone. Maybe all those front row Rush concerts over the years have taken their toll. ..

Forgive my ignorance; I didn't know I could use the car speakers with my Android. I asked the dealer and he said no. Mine is a 2004 XJR.

I've turned the volume up from preferences, steering wheel, and the phone itself. Still faint. You can hear it, but you have to strain your ears.

Does the phone use the same audio speakers? Those are nicely loud and clear. Maybe I have a bad connection somewhere.

Could the volume be affected by the iPhone etc volume set? I have my iPhone volume set at max. I try to answer my iPhone via bluetooth before the ringer comes on because it's pretty loud in my car.

No, the phone is turned all the way up as well. The ringer isn't the problem. It's the call audio.

04xjrsteve,
Assuming you have the phone module and Bluetooth module installed, you should be able to use your Android phone. I'm using a Samsung GS5.
