plastic tube replacement
hi
i am not sure what the name of this tube is so i add a photo of it.
it is needed to replace it and the local jaguar dealer here in sweden wanted nearly 100 dollar for it. for a plastic tube. well, any suggestions where to buy one for a better price or should i just replacet with a rubber tuber tube?
a part of it was needed to already do that for a few days as it is brittle. i just wanted to move it a little bit and it just broke, as you can see on the photo.
best wishes

To emphasize Doc's comments, "use brake booster hose", because the PCV will draw a vacuum and if you use the wrong hose type, it will collapse. Fuel hose for example, is designed to prevent expansion, whereas vacuum hose is designed to prevent collapsing.
It looks like you have two hoses where one should be. The corrugated on the left is the original and the smooth piece on the right with the clamp is a patch from a previous leak replacement. That piece on the right is what brake booster hose "looks like". I don't know how they are measured in Europe. Here in the US, vacuum hoses are measured in 1/32's of an inch.
There is stock PCV hose available. Dayco 80369 is an example and is usually stocked at an auto parts store.
If you use a non OEM type hose, such as brake booster hose, occasionally check the hose while the engine is running and have someone rev the engine a few times to ensure it isn't collapsing. That probably won't happen when new but can over time.
Now you know why the OEM is so expensive
Also, consider a parts/ Junk yard You may find one from a different vehicle that fits on the elbows.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

thanx for your reply. the right side with the clamp is a replace that was done a few days ago. when i now needed to check the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor i just needed to move the hose and it snaps right off. maybe i shall buy a original. i shall check with another seller for jaguar parts here in sweden, usually they are a little cheeper but with the shipping cost sometimes the price is nearly the same.
best wishes
