Buy a compressor too or a rebuild kit.

You will need rears soon.

Any links on how to do the rears? Lots here on the fronts. I would like to do the rears at some point before winter...

There are some posts with pics. Search air suspension and look at the longest thread. (Most posts etc). You'll find it. Hardest thing is learning how to remove the back seat... Tabs, left right up down whatever.

Good luck.

Sorry I misspoke. The rear struts tops are in the trunk. Just remove the lining...
The rear seat has to come out to reach the asm.

Just look at the "manual" on the arnott's website. Has very nice procedure and good pictures.

Take care.

The air suspension module is behind the rear seat.

Default Arnott Installation Video

Here is a nice video Arnott did on replacing the Rears.

Jaguar XJ Series Rear Air Suspension Installation Video - Arnott Part AS-2520, AS-2488 & AS-2489

This is video shows automotive repair professionals how to install Arnott rear shocks on the 2004-2010 Jaguar XJ series. This video shows the installation of Arnott's new AS-2520 but also applys to Arnott's remanufactured units AS-2488 and AS-2489.

Regards,

Doug

The video does not mention dealing with the level sensor and its position related to disconnecting the battery. Should we assume that it is not an issue? I always thought that if the height sensor was not dealt with, the ASM would have to be programmed.

Well, I did it! Other than having to run to the store for a T60 torx socket (the biggest I had was a T55) the whole job took less than 2 hours to do the front shocks. The second one was only about 1/2 hour of it. A second set of hands would have been nice, but I managed.
The car sits level, and I can't wait to drive it to work tomorrow. Thank you all for your help and guidance. This forum is priceless!

Does anyone have the torque values for tightening up the suspension bolts after installation? The video only specifies to tighten until "snug". I'm about to do my passenger side front strut this weekend.

You can follow the normal installation procedure and tobest of our knowledge the battery will only need to be unplugged if doingthe conversion kit bypass for the message on the dash.

In reference to the height sensors. The height sensorsusually won't require recalibration. It's very rare.
