aclemons8587,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums. I'm also very sorry to hear about your stolen rims - that really stinks.
Our '04 XJR developed a misfire this week in cylinder 3, so I changed the plugs and swapped the coils for cylinders 1 and 3 and the misfire moved to cylinder 1, so I have a couple of new coils on order (two different brands to compare).
Based on how our engine acted with just one cylinder misfiring, I'm not sure that one bad coil or plug would cause the behavior you describe. Our engine will start and run, it just has an obvious miss.
Is it possible that you purchased fuel not long before the problem appeared? Fuel containing water might cause your symptoms. Some other things that come to mind are a corroded or loose engine ground strap or a failing ignition coil relay (R7 in the front power distribution fuse box).
As 34by151 says, you're going to have to have the codes scanned, either at a Jaguar dealer, an independent mechanic with the necessary equipment to scan Jaguar-proprietary codes, or your own Mongoose cable and JLR SDD software (search this forum for affordable sources).
Please keep us informed. You'll find the members of this forum to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Cheers,
Don

I am so sorry to hear about the car,a few things I would check, whenever you can get the car somewhere to be scanned, check fuel pressure, check the also check all the lines because it sounds like a potential massive vacuum leaks, check, pcv line, the intake runners, the rear lines leading to the manifold plate on the lower driver side to rear of the blower, check the intake elbow, check the gaskets on the rocker panels, check the air dryer box for leaks, and the brake booster vacuum line that runs from master cylinder to the to throttle body lower plate. You will see it as it goes into the system from the driver side to the passenger side.I would start with these first.

All of the previous advice offered is what I would recommend as well. If your insurance Co can get on the ball, you can probably get the wheels replaced ASAP with the Comprehensive coverage if you choose to make a claim. Then, like the other said, it can be towed. I just lost my 04 XJR and had been knuckle deep in it a few times. Please keep the forum informed. Best of luck.
