portfolio fenders?

Essentially there were not enough of these later, (X358), cars made and they only started and finished production a short time ago, so very little secondhand stuff has entered the market. You can get used X350 stuff, as this goes back to 2003, and write-offs are quite common on crashed cars due to the cost of repairs. Clearly it would need to be a car that has been rear-ended !

ya, so far i haven't any second hand. I'm sure they won't be cheap fenders to get because of this. as for my super v8 i pretty have every option available including extra noise reduction insulation. other than the back seat consul and the wood (which I'm not to fond of) what else does a portfolio offer than isn't available on a super v8?

well I need to check the audio hand book on the watts but I have 15 speakers. 2 in my dash, 2 tweeters, in the doors front and back. 2 speakers in the bottom of the doors front and back, 2 in the side floor panels in the front, 2 behind the back seat head rests, and a subwoofer in the middle of the back dash.

The 320W Audiophile System has;
4x midbass (one in each door)
4x tweeters (one in each door handle)
2x on the dash near the windscreen
2x subs under the rear parcel shelf
For a total of 12 speakers
The 400W Portfolio gets the same, plus;
2x on the rear parcel shelf by the rear screen (like the ones on the top of the dash)
1x center fill speaker on the dash
The extra 80W comes from a separate amplifier that drives the midbass speakers in the front doors separately. This is what the parts catalog says.
I've never seen anything about a pair of speakers in the front side floor panels???
Get you camera out, i gotta see this!

Perhaps someone added speakers aftermarket?

Not to belabor the point but unless you modified the car, you are also lacking Alcantara headliner, polished alloy shifter surround, rear bucket seats with center console & larger tail pipe finishers.

There was a winter gold model in SoCal last year that had been in a minor wreck that showed up as a claim on Car Fax. It had 49K miles, and the dealer wanted $24.9K. I would have bought that car, but I have 4 kids, and need the bench rear seat. It had that dark brown, funky interior color. I loved it. I am jealous of the Ports. And I prefer the winter gold over the black cherry. Oh to dream.

@SuperTrav
I looked at both the Winter Gold and the Black Cherry. My feeling on the Winter Gold was that it kind of hid the "shiny" parts on the car, ie exhaust finishers, side mirrors, grille, wheels and especially the power vents, which, as a motoring magazine at the time said "You're paying almost 25k extra for those..... but they're worth every penny" Also as Winter Gold is a "standard" colour, there would be a risk of pulling up at a stop light and having another XJ pull up along side you in the same colour and we just couldn't have that, could we? :-)
Have you actually seen a Black Cherry car in the flesh, in the sun ? I didn't fully appreciate it from the online pictures. Even the jaguar launch pictures were I think photoshopped to just add a slightly red tint to the car. The reality is the paint has a very pronounced red metallic flake in it, which glistens in the sunlight. Parts of the car still remain dark, almost black looking, while other parts are lifted by the flake and appear dark (cherry) red. I am still having fun coming back to the car after it has been parked to find out what colour it looks today :-)

Oh Sarc, now you're getting me excited about Black Cherry. I have not seen it in the flesh. I am aware of the wine flake in the paint. You make great points about the color choices on the 'folios.
Bottom line is that you're turning me green with envy, and the Jag Racing Green looks great on Supers.
I'm not at all unhappy with my color combo. My car is after all much more sedate looking, and probably less noticeable to the constabulary, and others motorists in general. It's all good.
BTW, my $.02 on adding the vents to a pre '08 car, non-folio: save the dough and buy an '08/'09 XJR or a '06 Folio.

no, i don't have the alcantara headliner, i had a leather headliner installed when my nephew decided to color on the factory one! he's never been in my car since. no other kid since then aswell.
but back to the original subject at hand. i was able to locate some portfolio fenders and after the price was said i realized that i really like my stock fenders...no, actually i love them and would never consider buying portfolio fenders. ever! $12,000. no thanks.
