Possible crossover of X308 parts to X350

Possible crossover of X308 parts to X350
To be specific, the suspension struts/shocks. I have the dreaded air suspension 'let down' and am just wondering if the four shocks from a, say, 2002 or 2003 X308 could be made to fit on the X350. It seems the attaching points are similar enough and there are more used sets of them around in circulation than used conversion kits, which I have not been able to find used, though they must be out there. So, it just a 'wonder if' question for all those out there who will have to consider this in the future.
I've read all the benefits of air suspension and now I know the drawbacks. This just might be feasible, though. If it is, I might be able to get her back on the road for around $500 or less.
In the meantime, I'm chasing my particular suspension problem down after having read all the copious posts on this. I'm closing in on Brutal's ingenious testers (only have to source one more thing) and then it's trying to get her off her duff.
Anybody have any constructive ideas? Thanks, in advance.
Best, Brian

There is no compatibility for the springs/shocks, X308/X350, but you can convert to steel springs at not much cost, if you find the cost of fixing the air system too daunting. If it was me, I'd stick with it and search the internet for spring units, (shocks are an intrinsic part of these). However, I do agree they are not cheap. Could you please provide more info on the problem.
