Default Power Folding Mirrors

Is it possible to retrofit power folding mirrors in a 2006 XJL?

I expect so, but don't you also have to have the switch to swing them in and out ? The car control modules may need reprogramming to recognise the new circuitry; this is a modern car, after all, and the maker doesn't want anyone gefingerpokin around.

It's possible on an X-Type, i've done it. Don't see why it wouldn't be possible on an XJ.

Does your car already have memory seats? That will make things more complicated...

Aside from the mirrors themselves, as Fraser mentioned you would also need the door switchpack with the powerfold button. Maybe an additional relay to plug into the fuse box. And possibly some reprogramming with a WDS or IDS diagnostic kit.

I don't know for sure. I'm a new XJ owner, and my XJR already has powerfolds. However one is broken & will need replacing. As part of that job I might figure out what would be needed to retrofit. But it'll take some time....
