Default Power Steering Hose - Part Number

Hello-

Am looking to replace the hose from the power steering pump to the resevoir.

Using the resources here on the site, and speaking with a parts supplier and local jag parts department, it is unclear (to me and the others) what the part number for such hose would be.

Using a forum favorite parts supplier, I had them ship me a hose. The hose that was delivered connects from the base of the reservoir down toward the pump. The issue is that this hose (C2C6157) is about a foot long, takes a right angle and ends there.

I was expecting a hose that runs completely from the ps resevoir to the nub on the drivers side (US) of the power steering pump.

Would anyone have the part number of the hose that travels from the ps pump UP toward the resevoir? Or any other advice regarding replacing this...

Please see pics for reference.

-or-

Can a couple feet of hose from the local NAPA work just as well?

Any secrets to a successful 'clamping' on the power steering pump end of the hose?

Thanks in advance

Default Replace Resevoir to Power Steering Pump Hose

OK, as it turns out C2C6157 is the proper hose and contrary to what I (mis)understood, it is a single piece from resevoir to ps pump.

Here are some pics from the replacement.

Default Glad It Worked Out For You!

I realize that your post is from last year, but I'm glad you got it to work for you! I actually need to replace this very same line on my 2004 XJR. However, I have searched for a replacement far and wide (on eBay, NUMEROUS Jaguar parts dealers and suppliers and I'm being told that it's obsolete, it's under international backorder "indefinitely", etc... Can anyone help me with this? Is there a suitable and SAFE work around for this, another part that will fit the bill from another vehicle, etc..? I'm very desperate and I know that everyone here is great and I am hopeful that someone has a solution or source! Thank you!

Get a universal power steering hose from the local autoparts store. I got two feet of hose from autozone last year. The trick to the bend is to cut the hose longer so that it loops without a kink. Switch out the heat shield from the old hose and fill her up with mobile 1 ATF. I've been rolling like this for over a year no problems at a cost of about $6.
