You can click on the Tools tab up top and plug in your VIN #. It will give you all the info on your car. Great tool!

Fourth Generation XJR- X350 2002-2008
The fourth generation XJR is designated X350 and production began in 2002, the only time when there was such a long lag between markets and models. This generation of XJR was completely redesigned. Chassis, suspension, body panels and even the interior were redone. Although we wouldn’t consider it an entirely new car, the changes were sweeping. However, the likeness as a XJ can still be seen all the way back to the original cars of the 60’s. The X350 XJR combined with all other XJ saloons built now totals more than 1 million cars which is an amazing testament to the longevity of the body style and ranks right up there with the Porsche 911 and the Chevrolet Corvette as some of the longest consecutively produced automobiles in the world, but again in the 4 door saloon category, the XJ is king. The current model is the most technologically advanced Jaguar ever produced featuring a special aluminium body construction with a highly specialized bonding and riveting process that dramatically increased chassis rigidity and lowered the weight at the same time. The same basic aluminium V8 was used as before, but now sporting 4.2 litres displacement and an increase in supercharging pressures raised power to 400hp @ 6,100rpm and 408ft. lbs. of torque @ 3,500rpm. Weight dropped all the way down to 3,671lbs so performance was down to 4.7 secs. 0-60 and it could cover the ¼ mile in 13.2 secs. Top speed was again ‘limited’ to 155mph. Suspension now included air levelling, computer controlled and a new ZF 6-speed auto transmission. Compare that performance today at the highest levels and you’ll find that the Jaguar XJR is still in the top of the class and remains at the top in class. Now ranked in the top 5 for reliability for the last 10 years, a lingering reputation from cars of yesterday still allow for serious bargains to be had in any of the generations you may want. The X350 cars are the most changed of body style since the XJ40 went to square headlights. The X350 XJR is most easily recognized by a taller roofline, stubbier front and rear ends because the wheels are closer to the ends and a generally smoother appearance. The jury is still out on its’ style, but most reviews have been positive because of the increase of interior and boot space.
Fourth Generation Production Data 2002-2008
Total fourth gen. XJR build run is at 5,079, however this number is increasing because the run isn’t finished. Still a limited edition, the ratio won’t be available for some time.
2002 - 187
2003 - 3,192
2004 - 1,700
So am I an 04 or 02? Car was built in 12/02.
