Welcome to the forum Cedarparkconcrete,

I've moved your question from Jaguar Forums Advice / Feedback & Suggestion Center to X350 forum. If the information is available, members here with the same model will be able to help.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.

In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Welcome to the forum Cedarparkconcrete.

Since you are in the US, I assume you mean the 2006 Super V8 Portfolio? Since the Daimler Super Eight was not sold in North America.

265x X350 Super V8 Portfolio's produced worldwide, with a split like this;

145x to USA
10x to Canada
40x to Japan
10x to Switzerland
8x to Australia
Rest to UK, Russia, Middle East & EU

The last X350 that was produced at the Browns Lane plant was also the last X350 Super V8 Portfolio, and now resides in the Jaguar Daimler Heratige Trust collection.

The Daimler Super Eight is also very rare, total produced as X350 & X358 is listed as 853 units, i'd say it'd be ~500x X350's and ~350x X358's, but these were not sold in the US, there was a LWB Supercharged Van Den Plas which was basically the Daimler with a different name for the US market, ~700x were made according to Nigel Thornley, not sure I've ever seen one though...

I think most of those Japanese ones must be in New Zealand now! I have seen so many come up for sale in the last couple of years. For a country of just over 4 million people we must have the highest, per capita, number of Portfolios in the World of one description or another.

There are 5 for sale here at the moment, three of which have done just over 40,000 miles, including this rare Winter Gold one:

I have been looking for this information on the 2008 XJR (X358) and have found nothing, where did you source the data you posted?

Thanks

When I was looking to buy a RHD X350 Super V8 Portfolio while we were still living in Switzerland I could not find any for sale in the UK, so I contacted the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust to try & find out how many were actually sold in RHD, and they gave me those numbers.

The other figures came from a Nigel Thornley book, can't remember the name right now, I think it's "Jaguar, all the cars" or something like that, i'm overseas at the moment so I don't have access to the book.

I can't recall if there was a specific mention of the X358 XJR, I think that he only gave a number of all XJR's without breaking it up between X350 & X358....

You could try your luck and write to the JDHT and see if they can give you any info. But to be honest the only reason I got those figures on the Portfolio is because the guy I spoke with was friends with another guy who worked on the Portfolio project & he had that info in his personal notes. I don't think it was in a database where they could search out specific models.

The JDHT is only documenting the older cars, they told me that the X350 was too new, and normally they wouldn't be able to help...but I got lucky, the friend of a friend...

I always wondered why the dealer asked if mine was supercharged when putting my info in for parts searches. I thought it was just habit for them to ask. I thought the Super V8 was the supercharged Vanden Plas for all intents and purposes. I didn't know there was a supercharged Vanden Plas badged model.
