I would guess that any 6 cut 4 bevel TIBBE key will work for what you need.
The original TIBBE keys were 8 cut 3 bevel but that changed with the introduction of the S-Type sedan.(X200 single key without integrated RF transmitter)
Buy a blank 6 cut key from any S-Type, X-Type, X350 etc. and duplicate the 4 bevels cut into YOUR key.

A key without a transponder will not do anything but lock the doors. When I had a copy made (from a remote/key purchased on EBay) the locksmith made a blank key as a practice key to ensure his machine would do my copy properly. With my car unlocked it would turn the door lock and lock all of the doors It will not start or unlock anything.
It is my plan to purchase the transponder and program it to serve as a valet key, hopefully. I have opened the blank key and verified there is no transponder in it although there is a space to insert one.

I just tried my "black" key and it does not open my trunk. It may be that the tip of the key is not correctly ground to open it as I seem to recall reading that the very end of the key is specifically ground so as to make it work as a Valet key. It will turn the trunk lock but the motor will not cycle tp release the lock. I will look into it closer as I am sure I have read something regarding this somewhere.

Just did a further check with my valet key and it will not open the trunk under any circumstance. Your correct, there seems to be, what I call a ring that is undercut around the trip of the regular key allowing it to engage further into the lock. My valet key has the regular diameter at the tip without being undercut which prevents it from opening the trunk. Am assuming the black key is ground the same way. Looking for a locksmith that can cut TIBBE keys, any suggestions.

In the early days, until when is unknown to me, there was a key that was only intended for service. With it, you can only open the driver's door, nothing else. No trunk and also no glove compartment, if it was then lockable.
