Ordered a rebuilt from RMT. Asked proprietor did they have experience with Chinese struts, new. He did. Said that they are horrible, bicycle patches over old bladders, wood used instead of metal, etc. I am convinced not to use from China. Suspension is important, not cosmetic. Anyhow, strut came out easily, I utilized some air tools which helped. Also proped up lower wishbone to maintain positioning integrity, probably overkill. Working in a garage from floor, also coated subframe w rust converters. Waiting for that RMT part, can't wait to install. Overall, work is fairly dignified, in a Jaguar sort of way. I have learned a lot recently about Jags n stuff, sorta cool. Do you love your Jag?
