So I think I'm going to need a new right rear door for my 04 VDP. Some horrible person hit it in a parking lot *tears*

As I understand it 2004 was the only year the X350 VDP was not a LWB model, because the LWB version of the new aluminum chassis wasn't ready until the 2005 MY. So that leaves only one model year from which I could find my door.

But aren't the rear doors of the 2004 VDP identical to those of the standard X350 XJ8 for all five years? Couldn't I use a door from any one of those?

 

I would think the door pressings are the same, only the inner door trim panel will be different, and you'll be swapping this over, I assume.

 

Indeed, the SWB doors (the aluminium part) did not change throughout the X350-X358 production. Neither did the front doors. You could use any SWB donor for your replacement door.
