Default Rear entertainment

I'm sure this has been discussed before. I cannot find anything, though. I just bought my 08 super v8. I cannot get the rear entertainment center to play a dvd. I have audio and video set on dvd. It won't play audio or video. Any help is appreciated.

If it's like my 06 which took me some time to figure out. Try this

Press power button in screen
Turn on rear seat control by pressing down round volume button
Press right button (the one with the audio labeled button and the one marked 'left' to its left- those 3 are between the two volume knobs.
Press audio select until dvd shows
Press audio select until dvd shows
If not working try the numeric key marked play

Make sure rear ent in enabled / allowed from front touch screen

Also if you have trouble controlling system from front afterwards, try switching audio input to radio that freed it up for me

I had to fiddle around for a while but eventually got both screens and audio going

Main screen menu list has option to turn on rear seat entertainment unit

Not sure if that is the problem for you because when this is off rear control small led screen says system locked or something like that

Good luck! I had same challenges and managed to get both screens going somehow although in the end not sure what buttons I pressed in what order

You did put a movie in the trunk mounted DVD player?
