I originally thought it was standard on SV8 and VP but then I saw some VP with out them. same with XJR

any addition info would be great.

 

I believe on the XJR and VDP, it's part of the Rear Passenger Entertainment System option. On the SV8, it comes with the system as standard.

I have an Ex-Japan 2008 SV8 and it has the television option, and the rear entertainment option according to the build sheet. It doesn't have the rear screens. The headrests look original, but they may have been changed while in Japan.
I've also checked the photos of an apparent identical twin of my car that was for sale in Japan a few years ago, and it doesn't have the rear screens either.

At least in Europe, ithe rear screens were an option on the SV8, too.

I see, because I've seen screenshots of SV8 here in the States, most of which has the rear headrest TV. In that case, I think it's an additional option.
