I had air suspension fault come up intermitantley and over the last five moinths it had come on more often, sdd came up with c2303 so to bag pipe andy for compressor piston ring i went, compressor strikes up when i start the car and runs for a minute or so and all is well with it kicking in now and again during my journey, a good 25 minutes later the air suspension light fault message comes up again and is on all the way home, when at home i notice rear left of car is slightlly lower than the right but only about an inch, the next time i drive the car all is well and the rear end is equal on both sides , this will be the case for the next half a dozen trips, then next time out the same air suspension fault message comes on and the right rear is slightly low again,
Ive read so many air suspension threads on here but non with these symptoms,
i ran sdd again and it gives me the same c2303 code,
as far as im aware if the compressor was at fault the fault message would come up after about 2 to 3 minutes if the pressure was too low, not 25 minutes in to my trip and i would have thought that it would come up every time i drove,
the rear right corner is an inch too low but only now and again,
many thanks in advance for any advice,
the car is a 2003 x350 3litre petrol with 75000 miles

If you have the possibility leave the car standing for a few days. That way you can see if it starts to sag in a corner. Leave the doors shut during that time. If you open the drivers door after that and you hear air hissing there's a leak somewhere. The X350 lowers all other corners to the lowest one and opening the door triggers that.
If the car doesn't sag during that time it's more probably the compressor that starting to get weak. I changed the ring on mine but still get the message every now and then.
