Default Rear Rattle

Hello Everyone:
I have a rattle in my rear passenger side only when I hit a rough road. Any suggestion on how to find out what it is or how to find it?

Thanks

Not much to go on! Could be something loose in door pocket or trunk wheel well to one of the gas tank straps rotted through.

I took it to my mechanic. He looked over the car for several days. He opened up the trunk, removed the trunk covers, and told me to hold on to the shock stem while he pushed down on the car. You could feel the noise just holding on to the shock stem in the rear. We are now replacing the shock on the right side to see if this the problem. These are strut masters and this should not happen. Called strut masters and of course they have never heard of this happening. Sounds like a standard government answer. If you hold on to the left rear shock stem, you can feel some noise thru it too.

Replaced all four strutmaster conversion shocks and eliminated all noises. Now on to fixing the rest of the rebuild problems. What a change in the ride now.

Did you go back to air ride, or stay with the air less conversion set up?
Either way probably the best choice.
They seem to have a good reputation.

When I purchased the car, the shock conversion had already been done with StrutMasters. When I replaced them this time, StrutMasters were bad. What I don't understand is the car has only 70K miles.
It would be a great dollar amount to revert back to the air ride. I would have to replace everything in the air shock system. I just accepted that the air shock system is history.

I did a Strutmasters conversion years back from air and I am pretty happy with them so far - I was surprised to see that you had issues with them.
