Rear Entertainment in Standby :: SOLVED!
Just in case anyone else suffers the same issue..... You can see the date I wrote the original thread and I've had half of my rear entertainment in standby mode since then....... Until tonight!
As you can read in the thread, I'd done pretty much every type of reset I could think of with no success. So tonight I took the rear seat out, disconnected all of the connections to the video module that's behind the rear seat..... waited a bit....... then plugged them all back in again...... and the left hand side then responded to pressing the rotary dial and it came out of standby. Phew.
Looking back, the fault occurred when my battery was going bad...... So beware if your battery is on its way out you may also end up like me.......
I'm just glad I figured it out without admitting defeat and taking it to the dealer.

Hi Matt :-)
Nope, not yet, but I am now inspired by my success at fixing the rear video so I will get to the bottom of the IR headphones, but it may take another year :-)
I believe the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust took the last '06 Portfolio into their collection, so they are on my list of folks to contact. I will post back if I ever solve it.
