Hi fingers,
The Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC) is a great reference for answering questions like this, and you can download it for free from this forum and install it on your computer. Just follow the instructions in this thread:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...uctions-48194/
A quick look at the EPC seems to indicate that there is no difference in the rear subframe whether the engine is diesel or petrol, but the subframe was revised beginning with VIN H10763. Off the top of my head, I don't know what model year that corresponds to, but you would want to check the VIN of the 2007 to see if it is H10763 or higher. If so, the 2003 subframe may not be compatible.
I think your safest route would be to call a Jaguar main agent and ask for their help in sorting out the compatibility of the two subframes.
Cheers,
Don
