We British call "routers" differently as "discs"

Anyway, as a 2004 XJR, I suspect it will have the Brembo brakes and discs. These tend to cost more than the standard discs, as do the pads. With a car of that performance, I would not be trying to save money on brakes !! However there will no doubt be after-market discs and pads, but not calipers, but you don't need those anyway.

I would order parts from Rock Auto or SNG Barrett. Rock Auto will have many to parts to choose from I would choose the higher end and more costly parts for the XJR. SNG Barrett will only offer the higher grade parts.

I'm sure there are after-market pads and discs for Brembo brakes, but due to the lower numbers they will probably cost a bit more than the standard stuff, but less than Jaguar or Brembo charge.

I went with R1 rotors for both my 04' XJR and the wife's S type. They have been a great Brake rotor in performance and looks. I went with EBC red for the pads. I was told before purchase to go with drilled rotors not slotted or a combo slotted/drilled as I will get better performance that way. I don't know if there's truth to it, but I know that's what I did and they work great. I live in South Florida with high heat and long straight roads were I am running at higher speeds than most. They have held up quite well. I changed out the front two with a floor jack in 40 minutes total...not a hard job at all. Here is the website link R1 Concepts Car Brake Rotor Disc - OEM Rotors, Slotted Rotors, Cross Drilled Rotor, Cross Drilled and Slotted Rotors, Brake Pads, & Brake Kits . I went drilled premium.
