Default Removing Cabin Filter Case

The cabin filter housing is disconnected from the plastic grommets and the insulation on the outside of it has been easily removed. The bottom of the case is slid under the scoop up against which the cabin filter fits. The cabin filter has also been removed.

The Case will not come out from under the scoop. Any ideas?

Thanks, Steve

The case is fixed with nuts (10mm, if I remember correctly) that need to be unscrewed. First you remove the cabin filter and then you can look for the nuts to be unscrewed. I assume that you have already removed the cowl vent screen, otherwise you will not be able to reach all of them.

I have found these pictures from when I did the valley hose, you can see some details of the cabin filter housing if you zoom in. Unfortunately, I do not have better ones.

Best regards,
Thomas

Thanks, Thomas; eventhough, your pictures are not exactly inspiritional

Yes, all visible fasteners in and around the case have been removed & the cowling, etc. too. The insulation came off quite easily. Bottom of case is slid under the intake, over which the filter, etc. fits. Will revisit later in the day & see if I've overlooked anything.

Best,

steve

Yes, Thomas, I had thought the air scoop into the cabin was to remain & only the case taken away. WRONG!

As per your photo, scoop was removed. 4 #10 nuts came off the studs & the scoop & case were off.

Thanks,

Steve

I know, sorry about that, at the time I just took the pictures while to show what had to be removed for the valley hose job...

Best regards,

Thomas

Seriously, the pictures are helpful. Seeing the throttle body, etc. speaks volumes.
Thanks!
