Default Replacing rear suspension parts?

If I change :

Top and Lower Wishbone Arms (2 on each side)
Roll Bar bushes (2 in all)
Rear Anti Roll Bar Link (1 on each sidel)
Suspension Stabilizer Link (1)

Have I got everything covered for the rear suspension? (of course leaving out the air springs)

There are two Stabilising Links, one per side.
Apart from that your list seems OK. Are you just replacing everything, or assessing for wear first ? It seems pointless to me replacing perfectly serviceable parts.

Lower shock bushes, and the anti-roll bar bushes also.

When we lowered the rear subframe on mine to put in the XKR-S anti-roll bar, got a hell of a shock at the old bar that came off the car.

The bar had rusted and thinned out under the bushes where it bolts to the subframe, the OD was reduced from 17mm to around 11-12mm, I don't think it was making noise, but certainly not working as it should...

A. What would be the benefit of switching the xkr bar?

B. I did a quick search and of course found an interesting thread that you started, this is the part you used? C2Z3523

C. As you know Cam I am doing more or less the same as the Swed, suspension overhaul, worth replacing mine?

Thank you guys for your answers.

My local Jaguar specialist told me they don't change the bushes anymore, just replace the whole arm(s).

I guess I'm trying to estimate the worst case scenario.

The car will have the front wheel hubs replaced on Friday and I hope my new discs and pads will arrive so they can be replaced at the same time. And I hope they have time to assess the rear suspenion.

I'm fixing the necessary things first, the wheel hubs and I'll take it slow from there. After all this is not the car I use daily.

A: Brand new bar is better than a rusty, thinned out one either way. The XKR-S rear bar was also fitted to the last iteration of the S-Type R, which I thought was a good enough reason to chuck one in.

B: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/w...-f-type-94044/

C: Honestly for the amount of effort involved in getting to the damn thing, maybe, maybe not. You have to lower the rear subframe, that's very labour intensive. But these things do wear out, both the bar and the bushes. Same for the front bar & bushes too.

Is it absolutely necessary to drop the rear subframe to get to the anti-roll bar bushings? I had the tire off this weekend and I could see and feel the bushings clamps and bolts. Space is tight, but I think there could be a way to undo it through the wheel well.

Did you ever find out if it was possible to replace the rear bushings without dropping the sub frame? I noted the post in this thread that said his rear bar was really thinned down at the bushings and the one that said jaguar routinely changes both the bar and the bushings; fortunately I didn't see that on my front stabilizer bar when I did the front bushings - just wear in the bushings themselves.
