Right side Power window motors; front & rear, are they the same?

I have a non-functioning front right (drivers) window. It seems completely dead. A year ago, it developed an issue like this then after a month, righted itself. After a couple of weeks parked at the airport, the issue returned, and it hasn't righted itself. All the other windows from the master switch work fine. Over the holidays, I decided to take a gander if anything is obvious. Some of the clips inside the door looked a bit rusty, and there was a rust dusting over the motor, so first hunch was dirty contacts, so contact spray on the connectors inside the main block connection (I don't have a multimeter to hand). Made no difference, so easy solution ruled out.
I have 4 possibilities?
1. Master switch; buttons feel ok. How can I test the dwitch?
2. Drivers side module (maybe)
3, A break in a wire The iother windows work fin, so the feed into the door I think is good. So a break between the switch and the motor?
4. Dead motor
Mulling the possibility of a bad motor. While browing a used parts supplier, the rear motor looks identical to the front motor. Is this the case.
Rear motor:

I have a spare rear regulator, and if the motors are easy to take off the regulator in situ, I might look at this.

Have you tried re booting the Jag?
You might need radio code and to reset the windows.
Some parts are the same since if the manufacturer can use the same part they will.
The pics are obviously the same but just check the innards and wiring is the same in the Electrical guide.
I suggest next step will be to remove door card and apply 12v to the motor.
If it then works ok you will need to then work backwards.
Remind me who were the pop group from Leighton Buzzard many many years ago.
