Brutal, I did find that Gaudin has the squaaaak! additive available, at least they list it on their website, could still be out of stock. $164 for a liter tho, ouch.

I'm going to make a new thread for it (spent my lunch looking it up instead of doing my taxes) part # has been superseded to JLM21906

a litre? it was only in a small bottle about 2 or 3 oz. I would drain some trans fluid and add to a half bottle of trans fluidand install to make it easy. maybe theyre premixed? or ?

Hmmm, I got the 'liter' from another thread...looking at it in my 'cart' it doesn't say anything about how much is there! Wow, it's not gold...it's liquid platinum!

It was not easy to get the menu for updating existing TCM. Coded access is no option for a little DIY. I put in some gearbox errors in the diagnosis of SDD and it offered the menu finally... I hope they don't close this way on later versions...

Hard to find indies that can do ECM/TCM reprogramming for my 2008 XJ8. I was hoping to substantially beat one Jag dealer's price ($330) by going to another Jag dealer. The other Jag dealer wants ~$550!!! (they quoted 5 hours labor). So...I'm gonna re-investigate getting the equipment to do the job myself. Still hoping to find an indie to do it.

Thanks to all for your advice and help!

Too bad you aren't on the East Coast - I would help you get this done...
