Default Rough start/misfire on cold start

There is a slight roughness/misfire when starting from cold in the morning. Yes, the Jag not me.
During the rest of the day the motor runs smoothly.
No check engine light.
Mileage is 50k mi.
Any ideas?
Dan

Reading the posts it may be a coil on the way out.
Any opinions on those cheap sets you can buy on eBay?

Ive learned that this car is quite sensitive to coils/plugs. NGK 7866 laser iridium plug is THE recommended plug. Airtex 5C1420 ignition coil is THE recommended coil. Slight and/or intermittent misfire can trigger lots of issues. Trans issues and catalytic converter issues (as a long term effect of unburned fuel from misfires) to name a couple.

I was in the same boat, looking at ebay coils and I decided to just bite the bullet with Airtex.

Hi, this has had all 6 coils replaced, they were not the cheap ebay ones, still gave exactly the same symptoms afterwards so not sure its electrical.
I must admit I am looking to wither fuel itself or possibly a blocked exhaust as an issue.
Due to the lousy weather I've given up and booked it in with a specialist in Coventry, Cov Cats. I anyone has used them pray tell. If not I will give you feedback.

I will scan the OBD for codes even though there is no CEL. I am a second owner and have been putting in fuel system cleaner with every fill up. In my imagination, the morning rough running is lessening following this. Exhaust tips are nice and clean, no sooty deposits.

Speaking of fuel Dan, if you are using a station that has ethanol, switch to a station that has been certified non-ethanol, TopTier like Conoco or Phillips66.
