S/C Auxiliary pump question

S/C Auxiliary pump question
I have a quick question about the S/C Aux pump/system. I topped off my S/C coolant system by opening the 19mm plug. When I turned the igniton on I expected the level to drop a bit because the S/C aux pump would be running and expected to have to add more coolant. That didnt happen and I was listening very closely to try and hear the pump but I fear it is frozen. My question is, Can I just cut into the hose going up to the charge air coolers from where the old pump is and install a temp pump and wire it off the same fuse (F31) until I can do it right? I understand there may be some flow interference with the old pump in the line but I figure some flow is better than none. Is this an acceptable temp fix or not?

Before you right off the pump. Get under the car, remove the belly pans so you can get to the pump. Should be on the passenger side down low.
Do you know the difference between the SC pump and the AUX coolant pump? They are very similar and in the same general area. Your terms are confusing. There is a SC inter-cooler pump and there is an AUX coolant pump. Two completely different items.
Then with the car on ramps put your hand on the pump and start the car.
I thought the pump was not working on my 2005 STR but the pump is very quiet.
Also no need to bleed the SC circuit or remove the plug. I never have and it will bleed the air out with several heat and cool cycles.
I would not screw around with some add on piece of crap. The electronics will adjust so no danger of damaging anything without the pump working. Just less performance, especially on hot days.

It is the intercooler pump in quiestion. I will try as you suggest and feel if it is vibrating. I did check the fuse (F31) and it was good but the associated relay (R5) has a good size piece of plastic missing from the side. I dont know why that would be but it is now suspect. I will check that too if the pump isnt vibrating. Thanks for the input!
