Default Scratches on Walnut Trim

I am wondering if anyone knows the best way the perform a repair on scratches on the plastic walnut trim on the door card. See picture.

If someone has already posted and got the answer please redirect me but could find nothing in my search.

I am wondering one of those scratch repair kits as used on bodywork might work.

Chances are no one but you, will ever see it, i would forget about it.
I'm sure you can find many more important things fix on your car than a small scratch.

I know to feeling, it is just annoying to have a defect as you always see it even if no one else does. Try rubbing it with metal polish (Brasso). I use that to polish up wristwatch lenses, it works well.

Thanks Bob.
Will give that a try and there are a few areas of scratches. I was sure there had to be a way.

Plastic walnut trim? Come on, you can‘t be serious. You‘d better sell your XJ to somebody appreciating it and get a Toyota Prius.

Plastic is made from oil, which is made from dead foliage, which might include dead walnut trees for all you know.
So show some respect for the Toyota Prius. If it's dead.

Aside from Brasso which might buff it out (some paints cut to glossy and some polyurethanes might cut to matt), I'd be thinking that a car polish might "wet" it. There seems to be a bunch of suggestions on google or youtube.

Thanks Chris.

I was thinking of something similar to the scratch remover but wanted to see if there was a definite best option.
