I bought my XJ8 about a month ago and, being my first Jaguar, it takes some getting used to. So far it is a beautiful car. 2004, Base, 18" tires. Had 112.000 miles. a few scratches ,but over all very nice.
I had an oil leak (harmonic Balancer seal) fixed along with the oil change. Now it is going to have the Andy ring replaced in the air compressor. Hopefully that will take care of the C-2303.
The car's new Mommy has washed it and polished it 4 times already. Vacuumed the inside twice.
Next month we will go on the first trip with it , FL. to NY. for a couple weeks. Hoping all goes well.
Hoping not to disturb too many owners here, but we paid $4500. for it. then added $700.00n 4 new tires.
We are sofar loving this car too.

That is a bargain price ! However don't be upset if you need to spend a bit to keep it all shiny and nice. Parts prices are now far lower and there are more independent shops that can keep your "Cat" in good order.
Experience generally is that the cars keep going and usually don't leave you stranded at the roadside, but suspension parts seem to wear out earlier than one would expect. Do bear in mind, though, that the parts prices, even those on the 'net reflect a car that cost many $$$ thousands when new. This was not a cheap car !

Thanks Fraser. I plan to take good care of it. Found a good Indy near by who is not scared of them and not a thief. You are right! MSRP on this car was 59,999 , I'm very fortunate.
I guess for those of us who get good deals from a skiff, we are smart to look in the skiffs in the better neighborhoods LOL
