A Shameless Plug for a Lug
#21
Found a set of twenty for $16.00 delivered to my door. Small imperfections not ground all the way out, before the chrome plating process, but you have to look hard before you can see them. After their on, they look great, they fit that way too, i'm hard pressed to see any of the the scratches at all. autosaver88 was the vendor.

I my honest opinion
I'd say it's not as much the 12 points vs 6 the issue but more how torqued they are. As long you respect the proper torquing and don't use hydraulic impact wrench your nuts should live forever. The guys at adamesh said to just put a tiny bit of antiseize, torque to specs and by hands, and they'll live on.
IMHO with no pretentiousness.

Thanks for your reply, but I'm guessing that Toyota uses metric threads. As pointed out by xalty, the 2003 XK8 does not have metric threads. Gorilla confirmed that the XK8s did not switch to metric threads until 2007.

Thanks for the suggestion xalty! Gorilla had nothing to offer.
I opened that link and took a look at the questions. One Jag owner reported a fit problem with the holes in the wheels (see below).
Amazon shows these dimensions for the nuts:
"Anonymous" did not say what type of wheels his Jaguar has.
I've tried to find out on the internet what the lug nut hole dimensions are for Apollo wheels with no success. I would think that they would be a nice even 3/4 inch (.75) but maybe not. I would REALLY rather not bore out the holes to a larger dimension.
Anyway, I will ask my daughter to order me one set so I can see if they will fit (She has Prime, so free shipping). I will let you know how it turns out.
If you or anyone else has any suggestions I am all ears.
Regards,
Dave

Some years ago had a local shop rotate the tires on my '04 XJ-8 and do an alignment. They shredded the chrome cover on one of my lug nuts. Fellow cut it off with a chisel and proceeded to use a compressed air impact wrench. And snapped the stud. After we got that sorted out I stayed in the customer waiting room, but at the window that looked into the shop. I saw this knucklehead pull the same air driven impact wrench to fit the first tire. Walked in and stopped him right there. I threaded on a lug nut hand tight and used his 1/2" drive socket set and got the nut snug. Then I took his torque wrench and tightened the nut to 90-92 ft/lbs. One or the other.
Had him loosen nut #1 and proceed with me at his shoulder. The fact so many shops just spin the lug nuts on without thinking about proper torque and why it's important infuriates me. That and the fact the next person may have to loosen with a standard socket wrench and ultimately a breaker bar. I had a long talk with the shop manager. This was/is a well known nationwide tire store.
There ought to be a law.

Hi Xalty!
I received the lug nuts from Amazon the other day.As a quick check to see if they would fit properly I tried putting them into the holes on the spare wheel / tire, and the nuts do not fit through the hole in the wheel. (see photo below)
I then took one of the OEM lug nuts off of the car and it didn't fit through the hole either. It is a Pirelli spare tyre manufactured in the 40th week of 2002, so I'm thinking that it is the original spare wheel / tyre. If I use either the OEM or these replacement nuts, they will only clamp a small annulus of material around the hole in the wheel. Seems kinda dicey to me.
The guy at the tire store I go to is not very familiar with Jags, but he said that some manufacturers include a pack of extra lug nuts for their spare wheels. Did Jaguar do that? If so, I don't have them.

try these the shank is narrower, somebody here said they worked on their 308. i think the space saver is designed to use the original lug nuts
